We’re incredibly proud to share that Connection Support has been featured in a recent article by The Big Issue, shining a national spotlight on the impact of the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Project in Oxfordshire.
This vital work was researched and developed by Oxfordshire Homeless Movement (OHM), who also fund the project. Alongside Connection Support, it is delivered in partnership with Asylum Welcome, Edge Housing, and Soha Housing. Together, we’re providing life-changing support to individuals who are often excluded from mainstream services due to their immigration status.
The article explores how innovative, person-centered approaches, such as Housing First, can transform lives, particularly for those who frequently fall through the gaps. It highlights the power of partnership, the importance of treating people with dignity, and the difference that compassionate, flexible support can make.
Through the NRPF Project, people who would otherwise be left with no options are now receiving the tailored support and stable housing they need to rebuild their lives. It’s a powerful example of what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared vision for change.
