SafeHaven+

The Service

We work alongside Buckinghamshire Mind, Citizens Advice, Oasis Partnership and Adult Mental Health Teams, to deliver the Bucks SafeHaven+ Project – an exciting expansion of the current Bucks SafeHaven Service. This service provides alternative support to avoid crisis and admission to hospital and improve overall mental health and wellbeing. The SafeHaven+ service offers face-to-face groups with the option of a 1-1 discussion with a trained crisis Support Worker. Buckinghamshire Mind is also offering 30-minute telephone or video support calls for people who cannot access the service face-to-face.

What can we help you with?

Our part of the service focuses on housing support. Our Mental Health Housing Support Workers are responsible for providing intensive housing support to people who are in crisis, often with complex mental health needs, to enable them to build a better life and live independently in the community. They provide practical and emotional support to help build skills and confidence to deal with the ups and downs of life and avoid homelessness.

Who is this service for?

Adults living in Buckinghamshire who need support with mental health issues and may have complex needs.

How do we work?

The program of planned support should ensure clients are able to either access or maintain their accommodation, engage with the services they need to maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing, maximize their income, and avoid homelessness.
