Outreach Volunteer – Buckinghamshire

Location: Buckinghamshire

Hours: Early mornings from 5.30am for 2½- 3½ hours Mon - Fri (depending on your availability)

Would you like to do something practical to help the homeless people sleeping rough in Buckinghamshire?

If you can give a few hours on occasional early mornings to provide practical help to our Support Workers you could be perfect for this role.

We are looking for volunteers to work alongside our Outreach Support Workers, to wake up identified rough sleepers with the aim of helping them to access suitable accommodation.

Summary of the Role

The main responsibility is to work alongside our Outreach Support Workers to locate rough sleepers who have been identified or referred to our Rough Sleeper Outreach Service for Buckinghamshire.

They will have their needs assessed with the aim of helping and supporting them to maintain secure, suitable, and stable accommodation.

Volunteers can also assist the Support Worker with the tasks that take place after the street-based work (if this is something they would like to do) – this could involve making referrals to accommodation or other services, accompanying clients to appointments, or meeting with partner agencies.
