At Bearbrook Place we are looking for volunteers to join our team in supporting 36 young people and adults, aged 16-55, who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to equip our residents with the skills and confidence needed for independent living and to prevent future homelessness.
What We Do:
- Independent Living Skills: Help residents with self-care, education, training, cooking, and budgeting.
- Support Services: Collaborate with agencies such as the Substance Misuse Team, MIND, and Building Futures to address individual needs and offer extra support.
How You Can Help:
- Be a Mentor: Offer guidance and be a friendly support to our residents.
- Support Services: Help connect residents with the resources they need.

It may take some time to set up activities effectively but with a bit of time and patience, we are certain this will work well and provide a sense of reward and achievement.

Volunteers will have their traveling and out of pocket expenses covered. Opportunity to complete NVC National Volunteering Certificate and other in-house training.
