Connection Support named as one of the top 25 charities to work for

We are absolutely delighted that Connection Support has been named as one of the top 25 charities to work for in the UK by Best Companies.

At Connection Support, our team is committed to supporting everyone in our society to become safely and sustainably housed and to live as independently as possible. At the very heart of our organisation are our 200-strong staff members, who are supported by over 100 volunteers, to deliver a range of services across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire; empowering people to change their lives and build resilience for the future.

Broadcast live on Friday 19th August 2022 from Media City in Salford, the Best Companies quarter 3 league tables featured the very best organisations to work for – across all sectors, regionally and nationally.

This is the first year we have participated in the Best Companies b-Heard engagement staff survey, which invited all our employees to score us on statements focused on factors such as leadership, wellbeing and personal growth. And so we’re delighted to have been named as the 15th Best Company to work for in the Charity Sector. This is in addition to achieving an overall 1 Star accreditation asa very good company to work for’ based entirely on employee ratings.

Commenting on the results Chris Keating, CEO said: “At Connection Support our mission and values are true across every part of the organisation and for every person. This means that the hope and aspiration we have for each of our clients is the same as for our team of staff, to live their best lives. It’s absolutely amazing to see Connection Support recognised for this in the Best Companies categories. And yet, I’ll keep striving to make this the best workplace each of our staff have experienced. I absolutely love working in an organisation where my colleagues genuinely care about making a difference in the world and I believe each member of the team deserves the best treatment, environment and support possible to honour the effort and sacrifice they make to serve our communities on a daily basis.

To have this recognition is fantastic and a real celebration of every single team member at Connection Support. The feedback from the survey alongside upcoming staff feedback sessions will influence priorities and highlight where improvements need to be made. We strive to have an open and trusting culture to ensure we are and will continue to be, a great place to work!
