Integrated Floating Support Service

Our Integrated Floating Support Service now incorporates our previous Housing First Model and Next Steps Accommodation Programme with additional capacity offering a Floating Support element supporting people with very high to low needs.

About The Service

The aim of the service is to support people with a history of rough sleeping, or at risk of rough sleeping, to make positive moves towards maintaining settled accommodation and achieving an improved quality of life.

Who Is This Service For?

This service supports people with a history of rough sleeping, or those who are at risk of doing so.

The service cannot support people who are currently rough sleeping. If you are sleeping rough or know someone who is please contact the Homelessness Prevention Team at Milton Keynes Council: roughsleeperteam@milton-keynes.gov.uk or call 01908 253481

What We Can Help You With?

The purpose of the service is to enable people, often entrenched in a rough sleeping lifestyle, to take up the opportunity of a more settled way of life within their own accommodation. The service will enable people to establish and maintain a tenancy and wherever possible make a successful transition to independent living regardless of initial level of need.

We offer practical and emotional support including:

  • Tenancy sustainment
  • Housing issues
  • Daily living skills
  • Budgeting skills
  • Benefit issues
  • Attending appointments
  • Social skills
  • Linking in with other specialist services

How do we work?

We work in partnership with the person to complete a strength-based action plan and work towards achieving their goals and aspirations in a trauma informed way.

  • Provides support tailored to your needs
  • Enables people to develop strengths and resilience
  • Build self-confidence
  • Gain independent living skills
