At Connection Support, our team of 200 staff members and 150 volunteers work alongside people to overcome life’s challenges, with the goals of solving homelessness and achieving independence.

About the role. 

Providing support to people who are in crisis, and often experiencing complex mental health needs, you will work with your clients to create a program of intensive support that enables them to access or maintain accommodation, improve their financial wellbeing including accessing benefits, engage with and access mental, physical and wellbeing support services and connect to local activities and networks.

You will empower you clients and provide practical and emotional support to help build your client’s independent living skills, confidence, and strengthen their resilience to enable them to deal with any difficulties, so they can maintain their accommodation and avoid homelessness.

This role is permanent, subject to funding, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

£24,397 – £26,649 per annum, dependent on experience.

The closing date is Tuesday 14th May. Interviews will be on Wednesday 22nd May in High Wycombe.

About you.

Your professional experience will include supporting people who have been homeless, experiencing mental health conditions, or have complex needs, and you will have some knowledge of support services available to people in crisis. You have a strong resilience to not give up and can work creatively to find solutions. Ideally, you have benefits and housing knowledge. This is not essential as full training will be given.

Your non-judgmental approach, ability to easily build connections with a diverse range of people, and your excellent active listening skills enable you to have a strong understanding of the different needs of people who may be suffering from a variety of conditions. You also understand the value of building connections with other agencies, ensuring the best support for your clients.

A driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential as this role supports clients across Buckinghamshire.
