About the Service
Bearbrook Place offers supported accommodation to people who are either homeless, or at risk of becoming so. Spread across two wings, the service is able to support young people aged between 16 – 25 and adults aged between 18 – 55. The property as a range of communal areas too, including a lounge and garden, which provides space for various activities. Alongside supported accommodation, the service provides wrap-around support so that people can gain the skills and confidence they need to live more independently.
What Can We Help With?
Our residents will be supported to access training and employment opportunities, learn independent living skills, identify ways in which they can successfully manage their physical and mental health, and much more. By providing holistic support, our aim is to help residents sustainably resettle into their local community.
Some of the things we can support with include:
- Benefit applications and budgeting
- Developing independent living skills, like cooking
- Alcohol and/or substance misuse
- Previous failed tenancies or unsettled housing history
- Encouragement to engage with community resources
- Referring in to other agencies, such as the Adult Mental Health Team
- and more
Who Is This Service For?
The service is for single people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming so. Bearbrook Place can safely house up to 36 residents at any given time. Spread across two wings, the property can accommodate young people aged 16 – 25 and adults aged 18 – 55 with a strong connection to Buckinghamshire.

We work with you to establish your priorities, strengths and skills. This helps us to see what support you may need.
We work with you by:
- Listening to what you want
- Being friendly, organised and reliable
- Informing you of your rights and responsibilities
- Helping you put your decisions into practice, but not doing everything for you
